Our Vision is for Moray to embrace diversity, welcome all arrivals and support integration within the community.
Our Mission is to create opportunities for all to fulfil their potential through education, employability and community integration, in partnership with other stakeholders.
Our charitable Purposes specifically relate to migrants and refugees living or passing through Moray:
a) the advancement of education
b) the advancement of health, including mental health and wellbeing
c) the advancement of citizenship and community development
d) the promotion of equality and diversity
We are a charity based in Moray, located in the beautiful northeast of Scotland, and we are managed by a board of volunteer trustees with diverse backgrounds. We also have a wonderful team of volunteers inspired by the charity's vision and mission who help us in delivering the work we do
We are currently working to deliver our charitable purposes through the provision of English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes that supplement those provided by other providers e.g. the local college and council. These classes provide extra support for those who need it and access for those who are unable to attend college classes due to work or childcare commitments.
We also provide individual mentoring opportunities for those studying to help them reach their full potential and career aspirations.
We work collaboratively with other charities and organisations to provide activities that build confidence, social skills, appreciation of nature and reduce isolation.
The charity activities aim to promote equality, enhance migrant and refugees physical and mental wellbeing and ability to integrate into the wider community.
